Without water there wouldn’t be life on earth. Water is one of the world’s most vital resources and demand is still growing. At TALIS, we strive to make the world a better place by improving people’s living conditions through the development, installation and maintenance of efficient water flow control solutions.
Today, more than 700 million people still do not have access to safe drinking water; more than 80 percent of the wastewater worldwide is neither collected nor treated. The establishment and maintenance of safe and reliable infrastructures is an ongoing challenge for municipalities and the industry – due to three major reasons:
First, the continuous growth of the world population to an estimated 9.3 billion people in 2050 with an increase in demand for water of 55 percent; second, unabated urbanization with an estimated 5 billion city dwellers in 2030; and third, the replacement of outdated supply lines in Europe, e.g. 17 percent of Germany’s wastewater system needs reconstruction.
Because of these mega trends, global demand for new infrastructures is on the rise, especially in Asia, Africa and Latin America. In addition, the replacement of existing infrastructures in Europe provides further business perspectives for the TALIS group. We are already one of the leading manufacturers of valves for water supply, sewage management and power generation. However, our ambition is to become the first truly global leader in water flow control solutions.
We will reach this objective through the systematic internationalisation of our business. Based on our strong market position in Europe and the extensive international experience of brands such as ERHARD, BELGICAST and BAYARD we have started to establish additional sales offices and service centers in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Our customers benefit from a higher quality of service due to shorter response times and a better understanding of local needs. Global sourcing and procurement helps us to increase the competitiveness of the TALIS group as a whole, especially in European markets.

With an accelerated research and development process, this combined expertise helps us to fully leverage our full innovation potential. Smart technology solutions such as hydraulic control valves reduce the total costs of ownership for our customers during the whole product lifecycle.
